Mori Bar

Tokyo, Japan

OK so let's get this out of the way – Mori Bar isn't cheap. But if you're in the market for a damn fine cocktail created by one of Tokyo's legendary bartenders (the eponymous Takao Mori, now in his 70s, is considered a pioneer of the Japanese scene) and served by a quiet man in a white tuxedo, you've come to the right place. The ‘Mori Martini’ is possibly more famous than the bar itself, so it would probably be wise to go with that, but there's also a choice of lighter drinks on offer.
