It may be located within Turku's honeycomb of medieval streets, but this glass-fronted establishment is the definition of modern. It calls itself “a small restaurant with a big heart”. Simo Raisio, Erik Mansikka and Topi Pekkanen roam Finland's forests to find inspiration for set menus of four or six courses that combine wild herbs and seasonal fungi with locally sourced organic produce. Pike perch with smoked cream sits alongside beef tenderloin and colourful desserts that include plenty of native berries. A young, enthusiastic team ensure the atmosphere is always electric.
