Opened in 2016, Swift has become a favourite nesting spot for discerning drinkers in Soho – and a recent entry into The World’s 50 Best Bars. Run by Mia Johansson and Bobby Hiddleston (of Milk & Honey fame), with Nightjar and Oriole owners Rosie Stimpson and Edmund Weil in support, the combined wealth of industry experience is evident at every turn. A bright, ground-floor bar offers sunny pours, filled brioche rolls and get-them-before-they’re-gone oysters, while downstairs is all dark booths and dark spirits, with more than 250 whiskies behind the bar. Linger over a ‘Casbah’, containing Amrut single malt Indian whisky, Longrow peated Scotch and spiced carrot syrup.
