Three tasting menus, all equally priced, offer three different sides of this Basque institution. The ‘Classics’ takes diners through dishes that have remained favourites over the restaurant’s 50-year history, such as rice with snails and periwinkles or sautéed fresh foie gras. ‘Aranori’ and ‘Bekarki’ each explore chef Pedro Subijana’s more recent menu additions, such as egg with caviar or octopus. Located on a stunning patch of coast overlooking the Bay of Biscay just 10 minutes from San Sebastian, the restaurant is part of the five-star Hotel Akelarre, which opened in 2017.
