The story of Flor de Caña began in 1890, when a young adventurer from Italy came across the most fertile lands in Nicaragua, right at the base of the San Cristóbal volcano, the country’s tallest and most active volcano. There, he decided to build the Flor de Caña distillery, inadvertently marking the beginning of the 130-year and five-generation family story of the world’s best rum.
