Harry's New York Bar
Paris, France
Harry's New York Bar is just 24 years younger than the Eiffel Tower, and for many it's just as important a Parisian landmark as the big metal one. The name is pretty literal: back in 1911 a man named Clancy dismantled his Manhattan bar piece by piece, rebuilding it in the City of Light and putting a bartender named Harry MacElhone at the helm, creating a legend in the process. Its list of patrons is pretty spectacular, with names including Coco Chanel, Rita Hayworth, Humphrey Bogart, Ernest Hemingway and, even, James Bond.
