Chef Michael White moves the tides at this upmarket seafood-centric Italian restaurant across from Central Park. A dozen varieties of raw fish and shellfish are offered on the Crudo section of the menu each day, White's answer to Japanese sashimi. A staggering selection of house-made pastas includes his signature fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow, and spaccatelli under a mountain of crab meat and sea urchin. But while the cuisine stays rooted in Italy, wine selections hail from countries as far-flung as Hungary, Slovenia and Argentina.
