The Dubai outpost of Madrid restaurant Amazónico is inspired, as the name suggests, by the countries of the Amazon, and also the combination of Mediterranean and Asian communities in those countries. The bar and lounge, occupying the ground floor, is a glamorous, jungle-themed space with stained glass butterflies suspended above the bar itself. If the decor doesn’t transport you to Latin America, then the tropical cocktails will, not only with their flavours but with their playful, inventive presentation. Take the Monkey Business, for example, served in mugs shaped like monkey heads. The drink itself contains Bulleit Bourbon, Cointreau, lemon, honey, ginger and banana. Like many drinks at Amazónico, there’s a no-ABV version too. The ground floor also features a sushi bar, with the main dining room on the floor above. It’s worth paying a visit to the rooftop too, with its own cocktail bar and unforgettable views.
